Pastor Jean is a native of Haiti. He immigrated to the United States of America in 1993, and for the last sixteen years, he has been a resident of New Jersey. His passion for the spreading of the Gospel was nurtured by his late grand-mother, who taught him the rudiments of faith in Jesus and the meaning of true discipleship. Since then, the candle of his faith journey keeps burning wherever God calls him to minister. At the age of twelve years old, Pastor Jean embraced the Lord Jesus Christ as His Lord and committed himself to spread the Good News under the power of the Holy Spirit. God has prepared him intellectually and qualified him to be effective in reaching people from all walks of life for the Kingdom of God. After the successful completion of his undergraduate studies in the Science Department at Kean University, he was moved by the Spirit of God to pursue his graduate studies at Drew Theological Seminary, in Madison, New Jersey. About six months after he completed the Master of Divinity program at Drew theological Seminary, he was called by God to serve the members of Glenwood Baptist Church in order to continue their legacy of faithfulness to God and service to the community. The members of Glenwood Baptist Church are very pleased with the way God is using him to teach, preach, and equip people in the community of Vernon in order to help them experience the love of God and to be established in God’s Word. Since the inception of Pastor Jean’s ministry at Glenwood Baptist Church, God’s presence through the power of the Holy Spirit has brought tears of repentance, the joy of salvation in the lives of new disciples, and a common vision to the congregation. “We are a strong group of believers equipped with diverse gifts and God-given talents” is a statement often made by Pastor Jean to encourage his parishioners to remain attached to the source of strength and all good gifts, so that they may continue to bear fruit that are pleasing to God. Pastor Jean is married to Ketia Jean and they are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Joshua and Hadassah.
